This type of clover is a plant of excellent fodder value. It develops quickly, re-emerges very quickly and adapts well to growing conditions in both cold and hot climates. It tolerates soil salinity and alkalinity well, adapts to all types of soil. Thanks to the well-developed root system, this type of clover can be grown for green manure, especially well-suited for cultivation as pre-crop for wheat.

High fodder quality, good digestibility, nutritional value of fodder is comparable to that of alfalfa fodder. In well-irrigated soils, it is possible to obtain 3-4 harvests of green mass, 7-10 t/ha dry mass yield (50 t/ha green mass), in dry soils – 2-3 cuts, 4-6 t/ha dry mass yield (20 t/ha of green mass). Can be grown alone or in mixtures with other fodder grasses. A great alternative to alfalfa in dry soils. Possible seed yields – on average 700-1000 kg/ha (taken from second grass, in Italy).
